Merivale’s Lynch's Hotel in Narooma is seeking an experienced Assistant Operations Manager to lead a vibrant hospitality team and deliver exceptional guest experiences in a historic, locally loved venue.

You will coach a diverse workforce, drive revenue initiatives, oversee financial controls, and partner with chefs and front-of-house teams to uphold Merivale’s renowned standards while embedding a warm, community-focused service culture.

Located in Narooma’s town centre, Lynch’s Hotel was originally built in 1895 making it one of the oldest and most historic buildings in town.

This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced Assistant Operations Manager to grow within a team of passionate hospitality professionals as well as be a part of one of Merivale’s favourite locations. We are looking for someone who is committed to imbedding themselves in the team and venue, connecting authentically with the community.

In a nutshell, you will need to:

• Understand how to deliver exemplary guest experience. This incredible venue will feel warm and welcoming with a casual tone of engagement. Underpinned by knowledgeable, professional execution.
• Lead & Coach a diverse team of people. Ensuring that team culture is guest focused, community led, and sales driven.
• Competency to drive the financial results of the department. Be sales focused, create and lead the team to execute revenue initiatives. Demonstrate proven results in management of financial controls.
• Passion for product. Support the extraordinary team of chefs and guarantee you and your teams have a detailed knowledge of the product.
• Establish a healthy working environment for the team – enjoyable, educational, results focused and respectful.
