DOMA Hotels’ Little National Adelaide is seeking an experienced Assistant Night Manager to join the team. You will support overnight operations, front office, night audit, and safety while upholding exceptional guest experiences with a warm, local Adelaide perspective.

You will train the Night Audit Team, supervise front office during the night shift, and ensure accurate financial reporting. RSA and First Aid certifications are required, along with a professional, guest-focused presence.

About the role

Working in a dynamic and guest-focused environment, the Assistant Night Manager will report into the Night Manager and support the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel during overnight hours. As an Assistant Night Manager, you will assist in overseeing all hotel operations during overnight shift hours, focusing on Front Office operations, night audit and hotel safety and security.

We are seeking a warm and welcoming personality, a passion and the ability to create surprising and memorable experiences and share great local knowledge of Adelaide to assist our guests, whilst providing leadership and support to all members of the night team.

The Assistant Night Manager will be trained as a Fire Warden and hold current RSA and First Aid certification.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Complete the Night Audit process, including balancing daily revenue, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports
• Effectively manage guest enquiries, requests, complaints and emergency situations with professionalism and sound judgement.
• Effective handling of all guest feedback and being accountable for communicating guest needs;
• Motivation to build strong rapport with guests and colleagues through effective communication;
• Provide employees with training to understand expectations and perform job responsibilities;
• Leading service excellence operations of the Front Office within the Hotel.

Key Skills/Qualifications

• Current training & certificates: RSA and First Aid
• Knowledge and skills at a level adequate to train the Night Audit Team
• Experience completing Night Audit procedures and financial reconciliation.
• Previous experience in hotel Front Office or Night Audit operations, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role
• Advanced time management skills and ability to manage other competing priorities
• Leadership and mentoring capabilities to build an inclusive and supportive team
• Ability work under minimal supervision and maintain the confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data
• Excellent personal presentation and presence
• Willingness and ability to exceed expectations
• Flexibility to work overnight, weekends and public holidays as required
• Understanding of IT applications: Opera PMS, Micros and Microsoft software
