Job summary

Bamvino is seeking an Assistant Manager / 2IC for our flagship Green Point store in NSW. You will work with the Store Manager to help run the floor, support the team, and keep presentation at its best.

This full-time role (38 hours) offers a clear path to Store Manager and suits someone keen to build a long-term career in the liquor industry. Expect weekend work and occasional Sundays while developing product knowledge and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Retail experience; essential to perform frontline duties.
• Wine or liquor retail experience is highly regarded, with hospitality background a plus.
• Willingness to learn and develop product knowledge over time.

Key responsibilities

Assisting with stock — deliveries and moving cases of beer and wine in the warehouse (reasonable fitness required)

Opening and closing procedures, cash handling and day-to-day admin

About you

Retail experience essential; wine or liquor retail experience highly regarded as well as hospitality background

Strong merchandising skills and an eye for presentation

A team player who works well alongside others

A genuine passion for wine and the liquor industry, and sales

A willingness to learn — you'll be encouraged to build your product knowledge and educate your palate over time

Availability for weekends and closing shifts

We currently have 4 Cellars on the coast at Erina Heights, East Gosford, Point Clare and Green Point. We are a progressive business that is passionate about customer experience and finding the great wines, beers and spirits from around the world. We offer the opportunity to complete your wine education via the Internationally acclaimed Wine Spirits Education Trust (WSET). Our business operates from 10am through to 8pm (Weds - Sat) and 7pm (Sun - Tues).
