Job summary

Ice Box Liquor in Bellbird, NSW is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead the team in a fast-paced, family-owned environment. You will help drive sales, manage daily store operations, and act as second-in-command when the Store Manager is absent.

The role requires flexibility to work a rotating weekend roster, including night shifts and Friday nights, with opportunities to build leadership experience and service excellence.

Description

Ice Box Liquor is looking for a motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team in Bellbird.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment and is ready to take the next step in their leadership career. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will help lead the team, deliver exceptional customer service, drive sales and ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the store.

As the second-in-charge, you will also take responsibility for the store when the Store Manager is absent, giving you the opportunity to build your leadership and management experience within a growing, family-owned business.

This role requires flexibility and a willingness to work a rotating weekend roster, including night shifts and Friday nights.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in driving sales performance while maintaining budgets across labour, stock on hand, and GP%
• Maintain high standards of store presentation, merchandising and promotional execution.
• Support stock ordering, receiving, stock control, pricing and invoice processing
• Ensure company policies, procedures, safety requirements and Responsible Service of Alcohol obligations are followed.
• Build positive relationships with customers and provide knowledgeable product recommendations.
• Step into the Store Manager's responsibilities when required.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a retail environment including stock management, ordering, invoicing, deliveries, reporting on store performance, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with stock management, ordering, deliveries and invoicing.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Is confident working independently and taking initiative.
• A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.
• Previous liquor retail experience or a strong interest in the liquor industry (desirable).
• Flexibility to work a rotating weekend roster and night shifts, including Friday nights.
• Is passionate about creating a positive team culture and delivering a great experience for our customers.
