Job summary

Endeavour Group’s Wilsonton Hotel is seeking an Assistant Manager to help run a fast-paced floor, including the bistro, sports bar and gaming areas. You’ll join a team of Assistant Managers sharing shifts and driving standards with the Publican, ensuring safety, great vibes, and smooth service across busy periods.

You’ll bring hands-on hospitality experience, team leadership, and the required RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence to support the pub’s ongoing success.

Qualifications

• This hands-on role involves physical tasks (lifting/moving stock, kegs, deliveries).
• Supervisory experience or step-up readiness in hospitality is preferred.
• Current RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence as per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in running floor operations across bistro, sports bar and gaming areas.
• Collaborate with a team of Assistant Managers to share shifts and drive standards.
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely and with a great vibe.
• Lead and motivate the team to deliver high service levels and handle on-shift challenges.

Are you a hospitality professional ready to run the floor at one of Toowoomba’s most dynamic, high-tempo venues? The Wilsonton Hotel is looking for a driven Assistant Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels in a team-led management structure.

We skip the traditional isolated Duty Manager model, instead, our venue is powered by a team of multiple Assistant Managers. You’ll work alongside a strong group of peers to share shift load, collaborate on floor strategy, and drive standards together. Whether steering a busy weekend dining service in the bistro, orchestrating game-day trade in the sports bar, or managing gaming operations, you’ll be right in the heart of the action with total floor-level support.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You’ve got a current RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licenceas per state requirements
