Victoria Point Tavern, part of the Endeavour Group, is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead busy weekend dining, live sports, and gaming-room service. You will work closely with other venue leaders to run peak shifts, mentor the team, and deliver exceptional experiences for locals and the community.

You will supervise a hands-on operation, manage safety and compliance, and bring energy and smiles to every shift while partnering with the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly.

Formación

• RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence.
• Experience in bar, bistro or gaming room supervision.
• Willingness to lead a team and be the face of the pub when management is away.

Responsabilidades

• Get to know the locals and build strong rapport with regulars.
• Support the Publican to run the pub smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe.
• Lead a team on shift and mentor hospitality staff.
• Coordinate cross-department operations to deliver an outstanding guest experience.
• Handle hiccups promptly to maintain high service standards.

If you are a hands-on manager who thrives in the center of the action, the Victoria Point Tavern offers a dynamic, high-tempo stage for your leadership skills. From busy weekend family dining and live sports trade to high-touch service in our gaming room, no two days here are ever the same.

You won't be working in isolation, our management structure relies on a collaborative group of Assistant Managers working together on the floor. You’ll partner directly with fellow venue leaders to run peak shifts, mentor our energetic hospitality crew, coordinate cross-departmental operations, and deliver an outstanding experience for our regular locals and community.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew


• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe


• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends


• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches


• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising


• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up


• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away


• RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence as per state requirements
