Job summary

The Plough Inn in South Bank, Brisbane, is seeking an Assistant Manager to join Redcape Hospitality. This hands-on leadership role covers dining, bars, functions and events, working with the Venue Manager to keep a busy venue running smoothly.

Lead shifts, coach your team, uphold service standards and liquor licensing requirements, with structured onboarding and ongoing leadership support to help you grow within the Redcape portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience leading staff in a busy hospitality venue.
• Proven ability to coach and develop team members.
• Strong knowledge of liquor licensing and safe service.
• Availability across opens, mids and closes including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead your team to deliver exceptional guest experiences across dining, bars, functions and events.
• Take ownership of day-to-day shift operations alongside the Venue Manager.
• Coach and motivate staff to build confidence and performance.
• Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness and venue presentation.
• Manage shift administration, cash handling and daily reporting.
• Uphold liquor licensing, responsible service and workplace safety requirements.

• Strong food and beverage knowledge, with functions and events experience highly regarded
• A passion for great service and bringing out the best in your team
• Availability across a mix of opens, mids and closes, including weekends and public holidays
• Current RMLV and Approved Manager Licence
