Job summary

Queensland Corrective Services is seeking an Assistant Manager Sentence Management to support the Manager and oversee unit operations, governance, and quality assurance to ensure compliance with legislation and agency directives.

You will supervise staff, assist with performance management, training, and workload analysis to ensure adequate resources and timely reporting across the team.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising and leading a team including supporting the Manager in HR processes
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Familiarity with criminal justice legislation, policy and directives is preferable
• Governance and oversight systems experience including QA processes
• Strong written and oral communication and attention to detail for complex reports

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team, supporting the Manager Sentence Management
• Contribute to day-to-day operations of the unit
• Analyse trends and workloads to ensure adequate resource allocation
• Maintain governance and quality assurance across tasks and processes
