Job summary

Racehorse Hotel in NSW is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead floor operations in a high-volume hospitality venue. You will oversee service, safety, and team coordination to ensure outstanding guest experiences across shifts.

Are you a hospitality professional ready to run the floor at one of the biggest and most consistent venues in the region? The Racehorse Hotel is looking for a driven, floor-focused Assistant Manager who thrives in a high-volume environment and knows how to keep a large crew moving in sync.

"The Racehorse" is a total engine room. Whether it's a packed weekend crowd watching live sports, a bustling family lunch rush in the bistro, or managing our premium gaming operations, this venue requires a leader who loves being in the thick of the action. We need someone with sharp operational instincts who can maintain elite standards and ensure our regulars receive great hospitality on every single shift.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• Get to know the locals so well they think you're part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You've been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You've learned from great managers and now you're ready to step up
• You've got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You've got a current RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence as per state requirements
