Job summary

The Norwood Hotel in Norwood, SA, part of the Endeavour Group family, is seeking an Assistant Manager to help keep the venue buzzing and loved by locals. This hands-on role involves supervising staff, ensuring safety and great vibes, and representing the pub when the boss is away.

You’ll need an RSA, RSG and RP Badge and a passion for hospitality. Competitive base salary of AUD 80,000 plus super and bonus scheme, plus group-wide discounts and wellbeing support.

We’re on the hunt for our next Assistant Manager to help keep the Norwood Hotel buzzing and loved by the locals.

Situated in the heart of Norwood just 10 minutes from Adelaide’s CBD, The Norwood Hotel is a heritage-listed local institution with over a century of history. Anchored right next to Norwood Oval, the venue features modern Australian dining, live local music, and the iconic Finn MacCool’s Irish Pub. From high-volume game day crowds to casual family dinners, it remains one of the area's premier hospitality destinations.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew


• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe


• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends


• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches


• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands‑on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising


• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up


• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away


• You’ve got a current RSA, RSG and RP Badge as per state requirements
