Job summary

Noosa Reef Hotel in Noosa is seeking an energetic Assistant Manager to own the floor, guide peak shift flows, and lead a passionate local team. You will engage holidaymakers and regulars alike, ensuring pristine service across the venue while collaborating with leadership to maintain a great vibe.

This hands-on role requires physical tasks and a strong focus on guest experience, safety, and team motivation. RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence are essential per state requirements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on role requiring physical tasks (lifting/moving stock, kegs, deliveries) as part of regular duties.
• RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence as per state requirements.
• Experience supervising in bar, bistro or gaming room is desirable.
• Willingness to learn, lead, and be the face of the pub when the boss is away.

Responsibilities

• Direct peak shift flow and inspire a local team.
• Welcome holidaymakers and regulars, maintaining high service standards across the venue.
• Support the Publican to run the pub safely, smoothly, and with a great vibe.
• Handle hiccups before they become headaches and keep energy high on every shift.

Working alongside our collaborative leadership group, you’ll direct peak shift flow, inspire a passionate local team, welcome holidaymakers and local regulars alike, and keep service standards pristine across every corner of the venue.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements:

This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You’ve got a current RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence as per state requirements
