Responsibilities

• Assist in monthly financial close activities across Australia and New Zealand.
• Prepare and review management reporting, financial statements and analysis.

• Manage audit, compliance and financial controls.
• Coach and support a small finance team.
• Represent Finance on Project Aurora and support testing and system improvements.
• Reconcile contract-level data and sign off migrated balances as finance representative.
• Ensure end-to-end accuracy of accounting flows from the contract management system into SAP.
• Review wholesale and retail accounting entries and posting logic in the new system.
• Drive process improvements across finance operations.

If you're an experienced Senior Accountant, Management Accountant, Finance Business Partner or Senior Financial Analyst looking to step into your first leadership role, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.

We're looking for an ambitious finance professional with a strong background in financial accounting and reporting to join our Finance team in a permanent leadership opportunity, reporting to the National Manager - Finance, Accounting and Systems.

Be part of the cross-functional project team implementing our new contract management system across Australia and New Zealand as part of a $35 million digital transformation program. This provides valuable exposure to systems, process improvement and cross-functional project work, allowing you to broaden your experience while maintaining a strong operational finance focus.

The role will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer, granting exposure to and mentorship from the organisation's most senior finance leader. You will also collaborate with our Corporate Head Office in Japan, providing valuable international experience and stakeholder engagement.

Your Opportunity

This role offers a unique blend of operational finance and project work, giving you exposure across both Business-as-Usual activities and a large-scale finance transformation.

You'll:

• Assist in monthly financial close activities across Australia and New Zealand.
• Prepare and review management reporting, financial statements and analysis.
• Provide financial insights and commentary to senior stakeholders.
• Manage audit, compliance and financial controls.
• Coach and support a small finance team.

About You

You'll thrive in this role if you are:

• An experienced Financial Accountant/Management Accountant, Finance Business Partner or Senior Financial Analyst ready to take the next step into leadership.
• Experienced with people leadership
• Ideally experienced within financial services or a complex corporate environment
• CA or CPA qualified
• Experienced across financial and/or management accounting including month-end, reporting, budgeting and forecasting
• Confident working with senior stakeholders and translating financial information into meaningful business insights
• Passionate about systems and finding smarter ways of working
• Adaptable, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment
• A collaborative leader who enjoys coaching others and building strong relationships across the business.

Experience with SAP and involvement in system implementations or large projects will be highly regarded
