Job summary

Woree Tavern, part of ALH Hotels and the Endeavour Group, seeks a hands-on Assistant Manager to lead busy service areas including the sports bar and gaming lounge. You will partner with fellow venue leaders to run peak shifts, mentor staff, coordinate cross-departmental operations, and deliver an outstanding experience for locals in Far North Queensland.

You must have a current RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence, and be able to perform physical tasks as part of regular duties.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising front-of-house or gaming room staff in hospitality.
• Current RSA/RSG and Approved Managers Licence as per state requirements.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (manual handling, lifting) safely.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a collaborative team on floor during peak shifts.
• Mentor and develop upcoming staff to maintain service standards.
• Coordinate cross-departmental operations with venue leaders.
• Ensure a safe, efficient, and enjoyable pub environment for patrons.
