Job summary

Hardware & General in Hornsby is seeking a hands-on Assistant Manager to support daily operations, lead the team, and ensure outstanding customer service. The role involves overseeing the site in the Site Manager’s absence and maintaining stock accuracy and safety compliance.

The successful candidate will bring retail, trade, hardware or building supplies experience, a hands-on leadership approach, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate picking, packing, loading and distribution.
• Process quotes, sales orders, returns and payments accurately.
• Support rostering, site operations and workload planning.
