Job summary

Drakes Supermarkets North Haven is seeking an Assistant Manager - Food Retail to support the Deli department in daily operations and to drive excellent customer service. This permanent part-time role starts at 25 hours per week with a Monday–Friday pattern and occasional weekend shifts to cover rosters.

You will assist the Deli Manager, lead a small team, ensure stock availability, maintain merchandising standards, and support store-wide health and safety compliance.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Deli Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring full availability of products, and a high level of service to our customers.

Some of the key tasks include supporting the Department Manager with leading and coaching the team, ensuring inventory management compliance and accurate stock levels, merchandising, generating rosters and much more!

This is a permanent part-time position starting at 25 hours per week.

Availability Requirements

• Monday-Friday between 7am-6pm
• Fortnightly rotation of a Saturday or Sunday shift
• Ability to be flexible during periods of team leave.
• A willingness to support nearby stores if required.
