Job summary

OZ Design Furniture Pty Limited is opening a brand-new Myaree store in Western Australia and is seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager / 2IC. You will work closely with the Store Manager to lead a small, high-performing team and deliver exceptional customer experiences on the shop floor.

You will coach staff, drive merchandising standards, manage day-to-day operations and step in as Manager on Duty when required.

Qualifications

• Previous retail leadership, supervisor, senior sales or 2IC experience.
• Strong track record in sales and customer service.
• Confident coaching, supporting and motivating others.
• Hands-on leadership, thrive selling alongside your team.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisation and problem-solving abilities.
• Confidence to take responsibility for the store when required.

For more than 45 years, OZ Design has been helping Australians create homes they love with beautiful furniture and homewares.

We’re a proudly Australian, second-generation family-owned business with 37 stores across the east coast and now, we’re incredibly excited to be bringing OZ Design to Western Australia.

As we prepare to open our brand-new store in Myaree, we’re looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Store Manager / 2IC to join our founding WA team.

This is your opportunity to help launch an established national brand into a brand-new market and play an important role in shaping the culture and success of our first Perth store.

About the Role

Working closely with the Store Manager, you’ll help lead the Myaree team and create an outstanding experience for every customer who walks through our doors.

You’ll be hands-on across all areas of the business — selling, coaching, merchandising, customer service and day-to-day store operations, while stepping up to lead the store when the Store Manager is away.

You’ll help:
