Job summary

Accor, a hospitality leader in Australia, invites applications for an Assistant Financial Controller to support the Director of Finance at Novotel Sydney on Darling Harbour and Ibis Sydney on Darling Harbour.

You will deliver timely financial reporting, assist with budgeting and forecasting, oversee accounts payable/receivable and payroll, and ensure internal controls and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a financial management role, ideally within hospitality.
• Tertiary qualifications in Finance or Accounting.
• Strong working knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.
• High attention to detail, integrity and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Finance in day-to-day operations including compliance and owner relations.
• Deliver timely, accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Assist with annual budgets, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
• Oversee Accounts Payable, Receivable, and Payroll functions.
• Ensure internal controls and compliance with all Accor policies and regulatory standards.

Job Description

• High attention to detail, integrity, and ethical standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Sun Accounting is highly desirable.
