Mercure Gold Coast Resort is seeking an experienced Assistant Financial Controller on a fixed-term 9-month contract. You will lead the Finance team, oversee payroll and AP/AR, and drive financial systems enhancements to improve departmental profitability.

Qualifications

• Previous AFC/Senior Accountant experience.
• Ability to train and develop team members.
• Ability to time manage large volume workloads.

• High level of interpersonal & communication skills.
• Tertiary qualification (desirable)

We’re looking for a highly motivated and experienced assistant financial controller to join the team on a fixed term 9-month contract. Responsibilities will include:

• Supervising the Finance team in daily operations
• Supporting with Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Cashiering.
• Developing and monitoring all financial systems
• Improve systems and processes to enhance each department’s profitability.
• Maintaining internal controls, credit limits and compliance
