Job summary

Scentre Group is seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager for Westfield Hurstville. This hands-on leadership role leads a small team, collaborates with contractors and service providers, and helps shape long-term asset strategies with a focus on safety, efficiency, and compliance.

You will be involved in day-to-day operations, budgeting, and incident response while driving operational improvements in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Background in retail, hospitality, property, or facilities management.
• Experience with hard services (HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems).
• Experience leading compliance and safety initiatives.
• Ability to coordinate with contractors, service providers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the Facilities Manager in leading day-to-day facilities operations across the destination.
• Lead, coach and support Facilities Coordinators, creating priorities and accountability.
• Oversee planned and reactive maintenance, contractor performance and service delivery.
• Plan and deliver asset maintenance, repair and capital works within scope, timing and budget.
• Monitor facilities expenditure and costs, supporting budgeting and forecasting.
• Coordinate facilities activities with stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes.
• Support incident and emergency response processes and escalation.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and asset performance.
