This role supports the Member and Electorate Officer in delivering high-quality services to constituents, managing office administration, and assisting with community engagement activities across the electorate.
Key Objectives
- Provide high-quality administrative and support services to the Electorate Office.
- Assist constituents by responding to enquiries and helping resolve concerns.
- Support the efficient day-to-day operations of the electorate office.
- Maintain accurate records and financial administration processes.
- Contribute to community engagement and communication activities.
Your Role
- Respond to constituent enquiries via phone, email and in person, providing timely and professional assistance.
- Manage and track constituent correspondence, ensuring enquiries are recorded and actioned appropriately.
- Provide administrative support including data entry, record keeping, filing and document management.
- Assist with financial administration, including processing invoices, reconciling expenditure and maintaining financial records in accordance with Parliamentary Services requirements.
- Maintain accurate databases and office systems.
- Assist with diary management, scheduling appointments and coordinating meetings.
- Prepare correspondence, reports and briefing materials as required.
- Support the delivery of community engagement activities, including events, meetings and stakeholder visits.
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of e-newsletters and other community communications.
- Monitor and maintain office supplies and general administrative systems.
- Build positive relationships with constituents, community organisations and key stakeholders.
- Provide general support to the Member and Electorate Officer as required.
