Job summary

Day One ELC in Mission Beach is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Director to support the Centre Director in managing a high-performing 25-place campus. The role focuses on delivering a high-quality education program, guiding staff, and ensuring safety and wellbeing for children.

The successful candidate will have an ACECQA approved Diploma or higher, prior Assistant Director experience, and strong knowledge of EYLF, QKLG, and NQF. Proficiency with Xplor, MS Office and HR systems is desirable.

Qualifications

• Diploma level qualification or higher in early childhood education required.
• Previous experience in the Assistant Director role.
• Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines and National Quality Framework.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality education program with a focus on observing each child’s learning journey.
• Assist the Director in day-to-day operations and act as the responsible person in the Director’s absence.
• Ensure compliance, manage the team, and oversee bookings and parent accounts using Xplor.
• Maintain safety, wellbeing and learning for children and build strong relationships with families and stakeholders.
• Model professional conduct and communicate openly with colleagues and report challenges to the Director.
• Implement centre policies and procedures to a high standard at all times.
