Job summary

Strathalbyn Early Learning Centre, part of YMCA South Australia, seeks a dedicated Qualified Assistant Director to support the Service Director and lead high‑quality early childhood education. You will work with families with empathy, implement positive behaviour strategies and promote inclusive practice for children aged 0–6.

This full‑time (38 hours/week) role requires a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).
• First Aid certificate (HLTAID012) required.
• RRHAN training completed.
• Experience with children aged 0–6.
• Understanding of duty of care and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Support families with empathy and professionalism.
• Assist with positive behaviour management procedures.
• Promote inclusion for children with additional needs.
