Job summary

Nido Early School in Geelong is recruiting for an Assistant Service Manager. You will lead the smooth operation of the service, working closely with the Executive Service Manager to drive safe, engaging early learning and family engagement.

You will coach educators, implement high-quality programmes and ensure compliance across EYLF, NQS and National Quality Framework. This role emphasises leadership, collaboration and a community-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or ACECQA equivalent.
• At least 2 years’ experience as a Lead Educator.
• Knowledge of EYLF, NQS and the National Quality Framework.
• WWCC and First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
• Certificate confirming completion of the Federally mandated National Child Safety Training via Geccko (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of educational programmes and support high-quality practice.
• Support and develop educators to deliver exceptional outcomes for children.
• Ensure learning environments are safe, engaging and aligned with Nido's philosophy.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and performance processes.
• Maintain accurate staff and child records and support ongoing compliance.
• Support WHS processes, safety checks, drills and risk management.
• Provide operational leadership when the Executive Service Manager is absent.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, educators and the wider community.
• Lead by example through consistency, respect, and collaboration.

What you’ll bring

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA equivalent).
• At least 2 years’ experience as a Lead Educator.
• Knowledge of EYLF, NQS, and the National Quality Framework.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting teams and maintaining compliance systems.
• WWCC and First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
• Please note: Any candidate employed from 1 April must provide a certificate confirming completion of the Federally mandated ‘National Child Safety Training’ via Geccko, or must be willing to obtain prior to employment
