Job summary

University of Sydney is seeking two Assistant Development Managers to join the Property & Development team in University Infrastructure. You will help deliver up to 2,000 new student beds, from feasibility through to delivery, across multiple sites on campus.

You will coordinate consultants and stakeholders, support procurement and budgeting, and contribute to business case inputs while working in a small, senior team with early responsibility and engagement with decision-makers.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in property, project management, architecture, construction management, engineering or planning.
• Experience in property development or major projects across at least one phase (feasibility, approvals, procurement, design or construction).
• Excellent organisation and accurate record-keeping abilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Commercial and financial literacy including feasibilities, budgets and cost reporting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate consultants, contractors and stakeholders and maintain project controls (schedule, cost, risk).
• Support procurement from EOI and tender documentation through to evaluation and appointment.
• Assist with feasibility assessments, development budgets and business case inputs.
• Undertake research, data collection and analysis to support planning and decision-making.
• Assist in preparing presentations, reports and recommendations.
• Support planning and approvals processes, including development application documentation.
• Uphold governance, procurement, sustainability and WHS requirements.
