Job summary

Stockland in Sydney is seeking an Assistant Development Manager to support planning and delivery of large-scale residential and mixed-use projects across Western Sydney and Canberra growth precincts.

You will work closely with Development Managers and Project Directors on rezoning, master planning, stakeholder engagement and project delivery, gaining broad exposure across planning, approvals, and commercial activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in rezoning, master planning, planning approvals or related development activities.
• Understanding NSW planning systems and approval pathways; ACT planning environment exposure will be highly regarded.
• Strong written, verbal and graphic communication skills, including presentation preparation.
• Tertiary qualifications in Planning, Property, Urban Development or a related discipline.
• Strong technology skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and delivery of large scale residential and mixed-use projects across Western Sydney and growth precincts in Canberra.
• Collaborate with Development Managers, Senior Development Managers and Project Directors on rezoning, master planning, stakeholder engagement and project delivery, including handover and close out of completed projects.
• Provide broad exposure across planning, approvals, commercial, financial and development functions to accelerate career growth.

What You'll Do

As an Assistant Development Manager within our Communities business, you'll support the planning and delivery of large scale residential and mixed use projects across Western Sydney and growth precincts in Canberra.

Working closely with Development Managers, Senior Development Managers and Project Directors, you'll contribute to rezoning, master planning, stakeholder engagement and project delivery activities while also assisting in the handover and close out of completed projects.

This role provides broad exposure across planning, approvals, commercial, financial and development functions, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to accelerate their career and deepen their understanding of the development industry.

Experience & Skills That Count
