Job summary

YMCA Brisbane is seeking an Assistant Coordinator for Grovely Outside School Hours Care on a permanent part‑time basis. You will support daily operations, lead programming, and guide educators to deliver safe, engaging care for children.

The role requires a Diploma in Children’s Services or related qualification (or studying towards) and strong communication/customer-service skills. A paid Blue Card and First Aid/CPR are preferred or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• Diploma or teaching qualification in children’s services or related field (or actively studying toward).
• Demonstrated experience in children’s programming and administration.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily running of the service.
• Assist with child-led, play-based programming.

About the role

We are seeking a capable and motivated Assistant Coordinator to join our team at YMCA Grovely Outside School Hours Care on a permanent part time basis. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Coordinator with day-to-day operations, lead programming, and help guide a passionate team in delivering safe, fun, and enriching care for children.
