Job summary

Aveo is seeking an Assistant Community Manager at The Clayfield Retirement Village in Albion, QLD. You will work closely with the Community Manager to support daily operations and build meaningful relationships with residents and stakeholders, delivering a high standard of resident experience.

The role combines operational and administrative duties, with opportunities to step into leadership during absences and to contribute to a safe, well-managed community that celebrates older Australians.

Qualifications

• Front-line operations or administration experience in retirement living or customer-focused industry.
• Genuine interest in working with older Australians and making a positive difference.
• Warm, professional and polished approach with excellent customer service.
• Proactive and self-motivated attitude with genuine interest in improving the customer experience.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems, processes and legislation.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations of the community including safety, maintenance, facilities, compliance and resident satisfaction.
• Step into the Community Manager's role during periods of absence, taking ownership of operational matters.
• Foster a customer-focused culture through open communication, professionalism and regular engagement with residents.
• Provide operational updates and escalate matters to the Community Manager as required.
• Build strong relationships with residents, family members, contractors, suppliers and corporate office teams.
• Coordinate general administrative duties, including email and phone enquiries, auditing and incident recording.
