Job summary

Aveo is recruiting at The Clayfield Retirement Village in Brisbane to support day-to-day operations and resident satisfaction. This role involves acting as the on-site operations point, ensuring safety, compliance and timely responses to resident needs.

You’ll step in for the Community Manager during absences and help maintain a high standard of service, communications and administrative efficiency for our retirement community.

Qualifications

• Experience in a front-line operations or administration role.
• Interest in working with older Australians and making a positive difference.
• Warm, professional and polished approach with excellent customer service.
• Proactive and self-motivated attitude with focus on improving customer experience.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems quickly.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations of the community (safety, security, maintenance, facilities, compliance, resident satisfaction).
• Step into Community Manager's role during absences and ensure continuity of operations.
• Foster a customer-focused culture through open communication and resident engagement.
• Provide operational updates and escalate issues to the Community Manager as needed.
• Build relationships with residents, families, contractors, suppliers and corporate teams.
• Coordinate general administrative duties, including emails, phone inquiries, auditing and incident recording.

Reports to: Community Manager

The Opportunity

Your Impact

• Support the day-to-day operations of the community, including safety, security, maintenance, facilities, compliance and resident satisfaction.
• Step into the Community Manager's role during periods of absence, taking ownership of operational matters and ensuring continuity across the community.
• Foster a customer-focused culture through open communication, professionalism and regular engagement with residents.
• Provide operational updates and feedback, escalating matters to the Community Manager as required.
• Build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders, including residents, family members, contractors, suppliers and corporate office teams.
• Coordinate general administrative duties, including email and phone enquiries, auditing and incident recording.

• Previous experience in a front-line operations or administration role, ideally within a retirement living or customer-focused industry.
