Job summary

Busy Bees is seeking an experienced Assistant Centre Director to join Busy Bees Colac on a full-time, permanent basis. You will support the Centre Director, lead educators, and help maintain NQF compliance while fostering strong family ties and community partnerships.

You will step into Centre Director duties when needed, with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and a current Victoria WWC. Join a connected team at a 91-place centre with Bush Kinder and a supportive leadership culture.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher.
• Current Victorian Working with Children Check.
• A genuine commitment to child safety and Busy Bees values.
• Understanding of EYLF, NQS, Child Protection and ECEC compliance requirements.
• Leadership experience or willingness to step into centre leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support the Centre Director with day-to-day leadership and operations.
• Lead, mentor and support educators to deliver high-quality education and care.
• Help maintain compliance with NQF and National Regulations.
• Support curriculum planning, reflective practice and continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with families and the local community.
• Step into the Centre Director role when required.
