Job summary

Busy Bees Colac is seeking an experienced Assistant Centre Director to join our 91-place centre on a full‑time permanent basis. You will support the Centre Director, mentor educators, ensure compliance with EYLF/NQS, and build strong relationships with families and the community.

A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and a Victorian WWCC are required. This role offers leadership opportunities and pathways within Busy Bees.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher.
• Current Victorian Working with Children Check.
• A genuine commitment to child safety and alignment with Busy Bees values.
• Sound understanding of the EYLF, NQS, Child Protection and ECEC compliance requirements.
• Understanding of ratios, daily operations and what it takes to run a successful service.
• Leadership experience, or a strong desire to take the next step in your ECEC career.
• A positive, collaborative and supportive leadership style.

Responsibilities

• Support the Centre Director with the day-to-day leadership and operations of the service.
• Lead, mentor and support educators to deliver high-quality education and care.
• Help maintain compliance with the NQF and National Regulations.
• Support curriculum planning, reflective practice and continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with families and the local community.
• Step into the Centre Director role when required.
