Job summary

Guardian Caloundra is seeking an Assistant Centre Director to join a welcoming team, supporting the Centre Director and Leadership Team to ensure a safe, high‑quality learning environment for children.

You will build lasting relationships with families, mentor Educators and Teachers, contribute to resourcing decisions, and help drive a culture of excellence that reflects Guardian's values and commitment to early education across Australia.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Childrens Services or Bachelor of Education (or actively working towards).
• Budgeting and financial accountability experience.
• Experience leading or coordinating in a long day-care setting.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood education standards and practice.
• Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates and Working with Children check.

Responsibilities

• Support the Centre Leadership Team to create a safe, secure environment where children are brave, curious and imaginative.
• Build lasting relationships with families so they feel informed and confident in the education and care provided.
• Help develop a culture of quality, safety, and Guardians standard of practice across the centre.
• Contribute to resourcing decisions and ensure Guardians mindsets guide daily work.
• Drive business performance so profits are invested back into high-quality education.

To be considered, you will have:

• A completed Diploma in Children's Services and/or Bachelor of Education (or working towards)
• Prior experience working in a long day-care centre in a senior or leadership role.
• Sound, practical working knowledge and implementation of the NQF and the EYLF.
• Budget and financial accountability experience
• Current First Aid and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates, and current Working with Children check.
