Job summary

CMV Group Melbourne is seeking a motivated Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this full-time role provides accounting and administrative support to the finance team and department managers, ensuring accurate financial reporting and timely management information.

The successful candidate will assist with monthly management accounts, budgeting, reconciliations, debtor management, and payroll support, while contributing to process improvements and

Qualifications

• Accounting degree required or CPA accreditation preferred.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Sound computer skills and attention to detail.
• Good commercial acumen and administrative capability.
• Professional and collaborative approach.
• Experience in administrative or accounting roles, preferably in automotive/manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Prepare reconciliations and analyse financial data.
• Process sales files and support debtor management activities.
• Provide accounting support to operational departments.
• Contribute to process improvement across finance.
• Assist with payroll and other finance-related duties as required.

• An Accounting Degree (CPA accreditation preferred) or be working towards completion
