Job summary

Chandler Macleod Group is seeking an Asset Manager to own the performance, reliability, risk profile and long-term lifecycle management of critical energy infrastructure assets across Victoria, NSW and potentially New Zealand. The role combines technical excellence with stakeholder engagement and a proactive continuous improvement mindset.

You will support asset strategies, oversee risk management, and help guide long-term investment decisions while balancing office-based work with site travel.

Qualifications

• Experience in Asset Management, Asset Engineering, Reliability Engineering or Asset Performance environments.
• Understanding of asset lifecycle and maintenance management principles.
• Exposure to electrical, utility or infrastructure-based assets.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Knowledge of risk management and reliability methodologies.
• Ability to evaluate both technical and commercial considerations.
• Well-developed organisational and prioritisation skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive asset performance, reliability and lifecycle outcomes across a portfolio of electrical infrastructure assets.
• Assist in developing and implementing asset management plans and strategies.
• Monitor asset condition, risk, performance and compliance requirements.
• Identify and support opportunities to improve asset performance and efficiency.
• Contribute to capital planning, budgeting and investment decisions.
• Work collaboratively with operational, engineering and maintenance teams.
• Support the management and mitigation of technical and commercial risks.
• Coordinate and engage with external contractors and service providers.
• Participate in periodic site visits across Victoria and New South Wales.
• Contribute to the ongoing reliability and sustainability of the asset portfolio.
