Job summary

RFD Asphalt on the Sunshine Coast is seeking experienced asphalt workers for steady work, good pay, and regular overtime. You’ll join an established crew performing asphalt laying, raking, shovelling, and site cleanup across civil and small to large asphalt jobs. Night or early shifts may apply with penalty rates.

Responsibilities

RFD Asphalt is a well-established Sunshine Coast asphalt and civil construction company with over 30 years in the industry. Since new ownership in 2023, the business is growing fast and taking on larger commercial and government projects. We deliver both the civil works and asphalt scope.

The work

You’ll be part of an experienced asphalt crew working on a range of jobs, including:

Asphalt laying, raking, shovelling, and clean-up

Operating rollers, pavers (levels and steer), skid steers (where qualified)

Working around milling machines, pavers, and rollers

Loading and securing equipment and materials

A variety of work - civil work (drainage, road base etc) and small to large asphalt jobs.

Keeping sites safe, clean, and running smoothly

Following clear daily plans and safety procedures

Hours are mainly day shift, with early starts or night work at times (penalty rates apply).

What we want from you

Real asphalt experience (labourer, operator, or leading hand)

Construction White Card (or willing to get one)

Strong work ethic and safety-first mindset

Reliable and able to work in a team

Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions

HR or HC truck licence is highly valued (Manual crash box ideal).
