Austek Roads is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Asphalt Crew Member to join our crew based out of Clontarf, QLD. You will support paving operations on vital infrastructure projects across the region, contributing to on-time delivery and safety.

Asphalt Crew Members perform site prep, equipment operation, manual tasks, and quality checks. We value reliability, teamwork, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. Competitive casual rates and opportunities to develop skills are on offer.

Qualifications

• Experience in asphalt paving is required.
• Familiarity with operation of asphalt paving equipment.
• Strong physical fitness for manual labour tasks.
• Commitment to safety and quality on construction sites.
• Valid White Card / Construction Card is required.
• HR/MR Licence would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup and operation of asphalt paving equipment.
• Ensure safe and efficient placement of asphalt on sites.
• Perform manual tasks such as shovelling, raking and tamping.
• Participate in cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work areas.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting the asphalt paving crew with the setup, operation and maintenance of asphalt paving equipment
• Ensuring the safe and efficient placement of asphalt material on project sites
• Performing manual labour tasks such as shovelling, raking and tamping asphalt
• Participating in the cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work areas
• Collaborating with the wider construction crew to deliver high-quality asphalt paving work
• Adhering to all relevant health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

What we're looking for

• Experience as an Asphalt Crew Members required
• Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of asphalt paving equipment
• Strong physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasks
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation [HR/MR Licence would be beneficial]
