Job summary

Redland City Council is seeking a Maintenance Crew Member – Civil Labourer specializing in asphalt and concrete works. Based in Cleveland, you’ll support operational maintenance and deliver hands-on tasks from early morning to afternoon, on a 9 Day Fortnight roster.

You will operate plant and tools safely, record defects in asset management systems, and contribute to a safe, efficient team focused on high-quality civil infrastructure for South East Queensland communities.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on civil laboring experience with direct expertise in asphalt and concrete works.
• Current Class 'C' Driver's Licence (MR or HR preferred).
• Physical fitness for strenuous outdoor laboring tasks.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and team collaboration.
• Cert II/III in Civil Construction or plant tickets highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Deliver operational maintenance for civil, asphalt, and concrete assets.
• Perform hands-on asphalt laying, patching, concrete pouring, screeding, and finishing.
• Utilise asset management systems to log and remediate defects.
• Operate and maintain a range of plant, tools, and heavy civil equipment safely.
• Provide practical technical advice to team members and customers.
• Uphold strict workplace health, safety, and environmental standards.
