Job summary

City of Moreton Bay's Roads and Drains team is hiring a Labourer to help maintain civil and transport infrastructure. You’ll work with a Crew Leader on planned and reactive maintenance across roads and drainage networks in Margate.

This full-time role operates on a 9-day fortnight with a 76-hour fortnight, offering outdoor work and tangible community impact. Possess safety awareness, physical capability, MR license and CIC card to join a growing city team.

Qualifications

• Experience performing labouring tasks related to infrastructure maintenance or construction.
• Ability to work safely with manual tasks and heavy equipment.
• Strong teamwork and communication in a field setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with pathway and footpath repairs and replacements, including concrete areas.
• Support kerb and channel repairs, and maintenance of manholes and drainage pits.
• Undertake stormwater network maintenance and open drains work.
• Replace road signs and repair traffic islands and related defects.
