Court Lantern (Asian) Restaurant in Hamilton, Victoria invites an experienced Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. You will contribute to an Asian-inspired menu, using wok-based techniques to deliver high-quality dishes and maintain rigorous kitchen standards.

The role offers stable, permanent employment in a regional restaurant with opportunities for menu development and collaboration across the kitchen and front-of-house teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial restaurant kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements.
• Experience with Asian cuisine and wok-based cooking techniques is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and restaurant standards.
• Plan and prepare menu items and contribute to menu development with management and kitchen staff.
• Coordinate kitchen activities to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
• Check ingredient quality and stock levels and assist with ordering and storage.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
• Work with kitchen and front-of-house teams and assist with training staff.
