Job summary

Chef Wong Huntingdale is seeking a full-time Cook/Chef to join our busy kitchen in Melbourne. You will be trained across different kitchen areas and contribute to preparation, cooking and service.

We value reliability, a strong work ethic and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team. Training will cover our Cantonese recipes and kitchen systems. Position offers weekends and Employee discount benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen is required.
• Willing to learn our recipes, methods and kitchen systems.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Flexible availability, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and food for service.
• Steam, fry, stir-fry and bake.
• Cook and serve dishes according to Chef Wong recipes.
• Follow procedures and portioning.
• Maintain food quality and presentation.
• Keep work area clean and organised.
• Follow food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Collaborate with kitchen and restaurant team.
