Job summary

Sutherland Shire Council is seeking a highly organised, collaborative professional to help deliver arts, culture and libraries projects across the Shire. This role offers the chance to translate priorities into tangible community outcomes by guiding strategy implementation and coordinating cross‑sector initiatives.

You will work with diverse stakeholders to plan future library, gallery and public spaces, monitor trends, manage budgets, and ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Libraries, Creative Arts, Project Management or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting and delivering strategic projects and initiatives.
• Strong research, planning and analytical skills.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication capabilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Experience across projects involving community, cultural or public spaces.
• Current Employee Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of Council's Library Strategy and Cultural Strategy
• Coordinate public art, cultural and infrastructure projects
• Research and plan future library, gallery and community spaces
• Build strong relationships with community members, stakeholders and industry partners
• Provide strategic advice and recommendations to support decision-making
• Monitor emerging trends and best practice across the arts, culture and library sectors
• Support delivery of projects on time, within budget and to a high standard
