Job summary

Southern Cross Catholic College in Scarborough is seeking an experienced Curriculum Leader (Arts) to lead and shape the Arts curriculum across campus within Brisbane Catholic Education. The role focuses on program design, teacher supervision, and alignment with national/state requirements to drive high-quality teaching and learning.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and budget management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years teaching experience.
• Developed work programs aligned with national, state, and local requirements.
• Driving the assessment and moderation process when developing new programs.
• Leading and innovating within a specified curriculum area.
• Stakeholder engagement fostering collaboration and transparency.
• Having responsibility for a financial budget.
• Not required to be Catholic.

Responsibilities

• Leading the designated curriculum area(s) taught in the school.
• Applying contemporary learning and teaching research to classroom practice through professional development of teachers.
• Supervising and inducting teachers engaged in the area(s) of curriculum responsibility.
• Analysing student performance data and addressing areas of concern through appropriate interventions.
• Managing financial and material resources within the area of responsibility including the formulation of budgets and the expenditure of allocated funds.
