Job summary

Honorbread in Bermagui is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our bakery operations, manage daily production, staffing, and dispatch while upholding high quality, food safety and efficiency.

You will supervise bakers, apprentices and support staff, coordinate with the GM and Heads of Pastry & Breads, optimise workflow, inventory and equipment maintenance, and drive continuous improvement. Flexible hours and relocation support available.

Qualifications

• Proven production management experience within food manufacturing or commercial baking.
• Ability to lead and coordinate multiple teams across departments.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the production teams, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
• Oversee daily manufacturing operations and production flow.
• Manage recruitment, training, supervision and rostering.
• Work closely with the GM and Heads of Pastry & Breads to optimise production and resolve product-related issues.
• Coordinate with the Procurement Manager to maintain effective inventory and stock control.
• Ensure production areas remain clean, organised and compliant with food safety and WHS requirements.
• Improve operational efficiency, team productivity and production processes.
• Ensure production targets and deadlines are consistently met.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance, scheduled servicing and minor repairs.
