Job summary

Phillip Riley is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Construction Manager for a major Australian infrastructure project. The role is site-based across Balance of Plant scopes in Regional NSW, leading piping, HVAC, drainage, and related systems with a focus on safety, quality and schedule.

The candidate will manage a team of Superintendents, Supervisors and engineers, coordinate with engineering and project controls, and drive readiness and handover through commissioning.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years’ mechanical construction experience.
• 5+ years in a senior construction leadership position.
• Background across major infrastructure, mining, power generation or hydro projects.
• Strong experience managing complex mechanical packages and subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, piping installation and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical construction across piping, cooling water, drainage, dewatering, fire protection, HVAC and mechanical BOP systems.
• Manage Superintendents, Supervisors, Engineers and subcontractors.
• Drive construction planning, work-pack readiness, productivity and schedule performance.
• Work closely with Engineering, Project Controls, Quality, HSE, Commissioning, FGJV and Snowy Hydro.
• Support mechanical completion, commissioning and progressive handover.

Be part of the delivery of one of Australia’s most significant infrastructure projects.

We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Project or Construction Manager with a trades background open to taking an Area Manager position leading all Mechanical BoP in Regional NSW

This is a senior site-based leadership role, responsible for the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of major mechanical construction packages across the Balance of Plant scope.
