Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment is recruiting a Maintenance & Operations Manager for a flagship power generation project in NSW. The role is to establish the maintenance function for a new power plant from the ground up, guiding activities from construction through to operation on a major EPC contract.

The position requires 5+ years in engineering and maintenance, 3+ years in hydropower/energy plant maintenance, and experience setting up maintenance during greenfield projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ engineering and maintenance experience.
• 3+ years’ experience in the maintenance and operation of a Hydropower Plant / Energy Power Plant.
• Experience establishing a maintenance function during the construction phase of a greenfield project.
• Experience developing maintenance strategies and predictive maintenance programs.
• Experience compiling O&M Manuals from an OEM perspective.

Responsibilities

• Develop the Maintenance Management Plan for the complete power plant.
• Build predictive maintenance schedules from engineering and O&M documentation.
• Develop and improve the preservation strategy across the asset lifecycle.
• Lead maintenance activities during construction where required.
• Coordinate maintenance planning between engineering teams in Australia and overseas.
• Develop and deliver predictive and component maintenance training.
• Support customer training and the quality of training manuals.
• Contribute to project risk management.

Roster: Initially 5/2, transitioning to 14/7 on site

Salary: $180k to $220k base + super, + 25% site uplift

Design & Build has partnered with a major EPC contractor delivering the complete electrical and mechanical scope on one of Australia’s largest power generation projects, and we are recruiting a Maintenance & Operations Manager to establish the maintenance function for a new power plant from the ground up.
