Job summary

JMA Architecture is seeking a graduate of architecture or a registered architect with 5+ years of local Sydney experience and strong Vectorworks skills. The role covers end-to-end project delivery, including concept design, construction documentation, and ongoing liaison with clients, consultants, and builders.

A particular emphasis on interior design for single dwelling projects is required. This is a full-time 3-month contract with potential extension, located in Sydney with hybrid working

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Architecture required.
• Local Sydney architectural experience, ideally on single dwelling projects.
• Excellent knowledge of Vectorworks and strong 3D modelling skills.
• Interior design experience and NSW planning portal familiarity expected.
• Strong construction detailing and knowledge of NCC/Australian Standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects end-to-end from concept to construction documentation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and builders; manage relationships.
• Attend construction sites during build.
• Special focus on interior design for single dwelling projects (renovations/new builds).

Job Type: Contract position | Full time position

Job Description

JMA is looking for a Graduate of Architecture or Registered Architect with 5+ years of local experience and strong Vectorworks skills. You'll run projects end-to-end, including concept design, construction documentation, client/consultant/builder liaison, and site attendance during construction, with a particular focus on interior design for single dwelling projects (renovations and new builds). This role will be a full-time 3 month contract, with potential extension pending performance and business requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Architecture
• Local Sydney architectural experience, ideally on single dwelling projects
• Excellent knowledge of Vectorworks
• Interior design experience
• Experience with local DA, CDC and CC applications, and the NSW Planning Portal
• Strong construction detailing skills
• Solid knowledge of the National Construction Code and Australian Standards relevant to residential construction
• Proven ability managing client and consultant relationships
• Local architecture registration desirable but not essential
• 3D modelling experience is a plus
• Must currently live in Sydney, Australia
