Job summary

Coastal Arborist Services is seeking an experienced Arborist/Climber and a Truck Driver with groundy experience to join our team in the Whitsundays, Queensland. The full-time roles require climbing, rigging, equipment operation and safe, efficient tree care across the Whitsundays region.

Applicants should hold current arboricultural qualifications recognised in Queensland, a valid heavy-vehicle license, and a first aid certification.

Qualifications

• Current arboricultural qualifications or certifications recognised in Queensland.
• Proven experience as an arborist/climber with pruning, rigging and tree care expertise.
• Valid truck driving licence with experience operating heavy vehicles and arboriculture equipment.
• Strong knowledge of tree species, health assessment, and safe work practices.
• Excellent physical fitness and ability to work at heights in varying weather conditions.
• Current first aid certification and commitment to health and safety standards.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and reliable, professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform tree climbing and rigging operations safely and efficiently, including pruning, removal and hazard reduction
• Operate and maintain specialised arboriculture equipment, including chainsaws, chippers and aerial lifts
• Conduct ground-level arboriculture work, including stump grinding, debris removal and site preparation
• Drive and operate company vehicles and trucks to transport equipment, materials and personnel to job sites
• Conduct tree assessments and provide recommendations for tree care and management
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health and safety regulations and industry best practices
• Maintain accurate records of completed work and materials used
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet project deadlines
• Assist in training and mentoring junior staff members where required

Coastal Arborist Services is seeking an experienced Arborist/Climber and a Truck driver with experience as a groundy lowering and porta wrap experience. to join our dynamic team in the Whitsundays, Queensland. This is a full-time position based in Whitsundays QLD 4802. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our tree care operations, combining your climbing expertise with ground-level arboriculture and vehicle operation to deliver exceptional service to our clients. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and safety of trees across the region whilst ensuring efficient project delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

What we're looking for
