Job summary

Shanes Trees is seeking a motivated climbing arborist to join our team in NSW. You will perform residential, local government, and commercial tree works with safe, efficient methods on varied sites.

We offer above award wages, potential overtime, and training opportunities. You’ll work with modern equipment and a supportive team focused on growth and promotion. Candidates from other NSW areas may be considered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years industry experience.
• White Card (can get on arrival).
• Drivers Licence MR or HR required.
• Arboriculture qualification required.
• Other WH&S experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Climbing and aerial work using ropes, harnesses, and elevated work platforms.
• Tree pruning, trimming and removals.
• Ground rigging and rope work.
• Safe operation of chainsaws, chippers, and other machinery.
• Stump grinding.
• Site clean-up.

Day to day work includes, residential work, local government council works, commercial contract work such as street and road clearing, bushfire clean up work and storm/insurance work.

About the role

We want the best of the best. You will be motivated, reliable, hard working and willing to have a go and learn new skills.

You will be involved in delegating tasks as well as all round general Arborist duties including:

• Climbing and aerial work using ropes, harnesses, and elevated work platforms
• Tree pruning, trimming and removals
• Ground rigging and rope work
• Safe operation of chainsaws, chippers, and other machinery
• Stump Grinding
• Site clean-up
