Job summary

Zeal Personnel invites applications for an Arborist based in Karratha. The role involves liaising with clients, conducting tree inspections, and performing maintenance pruning, removals, and site safety audits.

You will access trees via rope systems or elevated platforms and contribute to training new arborists while following all safety and company procedures. Ideal candidates hold a Certificate 3 trade qualification or equivalent, with necessary safety cards/licenses, including Police

Qualifications

• Possession of a recognised trade qualification at Certificate 3 from a recognised training organisation.
• Possession of a trade certificate and/or the skills, knowledge and experience to perform the duties required of this position.
• Police Clearance is necessary.
• MR/HR Drivers Licence is required.
• Construction Card, WAH Certificate & High Risk Work licences applicable to trade.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients to explain planned tree works and ensure safe management of work sites.
• Undertake tree inspections and provide advice based on inspections.
• Access trees via rope climbing systems or Elevating Work Platforms.
• Undertake maintenance pruning on trees, shrubs and palms.
• Undertake tree removals.
• Maintain all tree work equipment.
• Conduct onsite safety management audits and complete safety documentation.
• Review Safe Work Method Statements and workplace procedures as required.
• Report damage and vehicle/machine faults to the direct manager.
• Assist in on-the-job training for new arborists.
• Adhere to all company workplace policies and procedures.

About The Role

• Liaise with clients to explain planned tree works, and to ensure the safe management of work sites.
• Undertake tree inspections and provide advice to team members, managers, and clients based on those inspections.
• Access trees via rope climbing systems or Elevating Work Platforms.
• Undertake maintenance pruning on trees, shrubs and palms.
• Undertake tree removals.
• Maintain all tree work equipment.
• Conduct onsite safety management audits and complete safety management documentation.
• Review Safe Work Method Statements and other work place procedures at required intervals.
• Report damage and vehicle and machine faults to direct manager.
• Assist in the provision of on-the-job training for new arborists.
• Adhere to all company workplace policies and procedures as directed by the company.

About you

• Possession of a recognised trade qualification at Certificate 3 from a recognised training organisation; OR
• Possession of a trade certificate and/or possession of the skills, knowledge and experience to perform the duties required of this position.
