Job summary

Coates Hire Operations Pty Limited in Mascot is seeking an Accounts Receivable Team Leader to oversee collections, drive cash flow optimization, and mitigate risks while guiding a high-performing AR team. Reporting to the National Credit Manager, you will champion adherence to policies and ensure efficient daily operations.

You’ll lead, coach, and develop your team, conduct performance reviews, and collaborate with stakeholders to meet targets.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in finance, or a related field (e.g., Certificate IV, CCE, or Diploma in Credit Management).
• 6-8 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable and Credit Management, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Solid understanding of credit risk, collection techniques, and relevant legislation.
• Ability to lead and develop teams, utilizing appropriate leadership styles to enhance capabilities and foster engagement.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on driving results and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with a wide range of stakeholders, from customers to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Own the full collection process and lead your team to keep risks and bad debts low while cash flow stays high.
• Provide motivation, guidance, and support to your team, ensuring performance against key targets.
• Build solid relationships with stakeholders and resolve disputes to ensure customers leave with a smile.
• Support the National Credit Manager with recommendations for doubtful debt provisioning and write-offs.
