Job summary

East Gippsland Shire Council is seeking an Aquatic Education Administration Officer to support lesson bookings, attendance tracking, customer inquiries and program communications across Bairnsdale and Lakes Entrance.

You will build positive relationships with children and families, manage accounts, and assist with swim school communications while contributing to a welcoming aquatic education team.

Qualifications

• Confident computer skills and the ability to learn new programs and systems.
• Customer service or administration experience, with good organisation and attention to detail.
• A positive, energetic approach and the ability to build great relationships with children, young people and families.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a busy team.
• Aquatic education experience and relevant qualifications would be an advantage, or a willingness to learn and obtain the required qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate lesson bookings, attendance records, waitlists, online forms and aquatic education documentation.
• Provide friendly and helpful customer service to children, young people, families and community groups.
• Use Council's computer systems to maintain accurate records, respond to enquiries and support swim school account management.
• Assist with program communications, newsletters, advertising and the promotion of aquatic education programs.
• Support the delivery of aquatic education programs and complete pool deck supervision or Duty Manager shifts as required.
